Discover our mission, vision, and the heart behind Covenant Rest Mission.
Covenant Rest Mission began in 1983 as a Good News Club called "The Tranquil Nest Outreach" at the home of our founder, Sister Victoria. What started with just five children grew as God's love filled her heart and set it on fire for ministry.
Sister Victoria went from house to house gathering children for Bible classes every Sunday from 4pm to 5pm. Soon, over 300 children came to the Good News Club, with many sitting on the compound floor, eager to hear God's Word. Through God's favor, Mr. Mends, owner of New Chapter Preparatory School at Bubuashie, Accra, offered a free classroom for the ministry.
As the mission grew, Sister Victoria and Brother Kofi Frimpong noticed that many children were not attending school. They pooled their resources to sponsor these children through primary education. By God's grace, over 3,000 children were eventually sponsored in elementary schools across Accra.
In 1995, when Sister Victoria moved to Tesano, another Good News Club opened there. Mr. Grace Adu Badu generously provided a free warehouse for the children's program. By 1998, entire families were being reached, and our first Sunday service was born.
Today, Covenant Rest Mission continues to reach children from all backgrounds, provide educational assistance, clothing ministry, and support to needy families, while sharing the love of Christ with our community and beyond.
To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. We are committed to being a beacon of hope and love in our community.
